Concept
Romania: Special Concept
An expressive special-edition concept for Romania’s national football identity.
Starting point
A special Romania away-kit concept drawing on the Garda Națională uniform and visual references associated with the Great Union. Archival photographs, insignia and period print establish the direction.
Design decisions
The blue shirt uses tricolour cuff bands to echo an armband, with a structured collar and gold piping extending the uniform reference. The national coat of arms replaces the usual team crest in this proposal. A small flag detail appears below the back collar, while typewriter-inspired names and numbers connect the garment to the print references.
Outcome
A complete shirt, shorts and socks system carries the colour and trim consistently across the kit. Research boards, palette studies and detailed garment views explain how the historical references inform the final concept.
